My best friend's dad passed away a couple of years ago. He collected wine corks, and had saved all of the corks that he got from all of the family trips. I'm also a wine cork collector, so my friend decided to give me her dad's collection. I was able to give my best friend and her mom the wine tray with all of the corks that her dad collected. They said it was the best holiday gift they've received. It was the best gift I've ever given. I was able to give them back fun memories they had with her dad.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Use it in the bar area to hold glasses. It did not come with instructions to put it together. Had done a trivet once before, so knew what to do.
