I totally adore the little Tiki guys...BUT... since the tray itself is silicone and extremely flexible which is great for retrieving the ice cubes, it does need a bottom tray for stabilization to carry from the sink to the freezer to keep from spilling water all over the floor. Otherwise, GREAT product, love it.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

These make perfect sized, hilarious-looking tiki ice cubes. I bought one for myself and another for a stocking-stuffer gift. The cubes pop right out of the tray, and are very detailed little Moai tikis!
