I own many stainless steel items and am aware of the common pitfalls such as fingerprints and scratches. Unfortunately, these coasters scratched immediately out of the plastic packing material when being placed in the holder. A disappointment but I'm thinking that you do get what you pay for. They look nice and will stay that way if you don't use them.

BOTTOM LINE: No, I would not recommend this.
