We use this primarily on our outside bbq grill. We are new pizza makers so the first pizza looked terrible but tasted great. The 2nd pizza looked and tasted great. The pizza que cooked each of them perfectly, no matter how they looked. We plan on getting better.

The stone works well. All grills are different, and I've found the ss base to be useless on my grill, making the product over priced in my mind. I'm happy with the size and thickness of the stone. It heats up nicely and retains heat well. The base seemed to deflect heat so that it wasn't getting hot enough. And the built in thermometer won't show true temp since it is mounted on the front. You are better off hanging a thermometer off the upper rack. I would not recommend this product because of price and the ss base.

BOTTOM LINE: No, I would not recommend this.
