I bought this decanter for my husband, who makes his own wine. The aerator brings out the full flavor of his wines instantly. No need to let them breathe for hours. We have done several taste tests with his wine and store bought labels. There is an immediate and noticeable difference for the better. I will not drink wine without aerating it again! Highly recommended! p.s. bought the cleaning brush and haven't had to use it yet. Cleans very easily.

This decanter is very easy to use. It aerates the wine quickly and you have an immediate improvement in flavor. It rinses easily enough, but drying it is difficult - I actually used a hair dryer to dry out the inside so the water didn't pool. Storing it is also difficult, as it's too big for our cupboards. Overall very fun & functional, but hard to clean & store.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
