My friend who received these as a gift (as a thank you for having me as a houseguest) loved them and used them right away. I think the rattan style is the most attractive (i.e., least garish or cutesy) design of all the varieties I've seen. I would buy these again, but I would also like to be able to get larger sets of 6 or 8, if there were more than 4 colors available. (I could just buy 2 sets of 4, but then there would be duplicate colors ...)

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
