I bought this napkin holder as a wedding gift for a couple who met on a trip to Louisiana--The fleur de lis symbol reminds them of that beginning. Since I was purchasing something they had not registered for, I wanted to be sure my gift was attractive, durable, and could be put to more than use since the couple may not have needed or wanted a napkin holder. I was so happy when my order arrived. The napkin holder was the perfect size, was heavy enough to convince me of its durability, and looked well-made. It can be used as a deocration, as a mail-holder, as a napkin holder, etc. I'm very pleased with it and was proud to give it as a gift.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
