I used it as a regular cup for beer. it holds six 12oz beers. The next time im going to use it as a beer pitcher when i get a keg.the only bad thing i saw was that it had alot of bubbles in the glass, mostly small ones.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
