This is a great product for your outdoor entertaining needs. I used it for a function at the elementary school where I work, and it did a great job. Volume is fine, loud enough for a limited (20 ft. radius) area, but if you're trying to broadcast the sound to a larger area, that's a little more problematic. Sound quality is fine for a backyard party. Super easy to set up and take down, very sturdy. I love mine, and will use it frequently!

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
