I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law and she loved it. Of course I added a bottle of wine to the bag. The coasters are bright and cheery and the bag is definitely sturdy enough to handle carrying the wine. In fact, the bag is large enough you could put a bottle of champagne in it.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
