Superficially, these clocks (there are 4 styles) are very nice. They would be awesome if the clock dial were realistic rather than a cheap paper photo image. The front case is metal,that's good, unfortunately the "crystal' and back are cheap plastic.I paid [$] on sale (expensive). At retail [$] they are way over priced, though if made of all metal and crystal I would gladly pay [$]. Unfortunately, if you like this sort of thing, These are the only ones around. That's why I'd recommend to a friend.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
