Hands down one of my favorite corkscrews for consistent easy openings, and believe me I've tried them all, winged, waiter style, rabbit style, and even some of the more obscure types. I've had mine Trulever for 3 years now and it works great on regular and synthetic corks. The only complaint I have is occasionally a synthetic cork is hard to get off on the removal. But the trick to that is even quite easy, just hold the cork still for just a second while you pull the lever up and off it comes! If you're looking for a consistent good performer that looks sharp and feels sturdy in your hand, then look no further, the Trulever really performs.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
