We entertain a lot - especially outside when the weather is nice - it makes it easier for people to know where the bottle opener is so they don't have to search for it. We attached it to our porch railing.

I bought this for my deck and one for my basement because I always have my hands full doing things and hate always looking for a bottle opener and then having to put things down to open the bottle ie cooking on the grill etc. This works like a charm! I bought a bottle cap catcher to go with it an don't even have to worry about dropped caps!
