Laguiole just licenses their name and signature Laguiole "bee" to manufacturers whom meet their strict quality standards. There are actually dozens of manufacturers for Laguiole branded products, many of whom overcharge for the name.

There are two main differences between this corkscrew and many of the more expensive Laguiole corkscrews you see elsewhere.
