He loves them; they have a nice heft (weight), yet are not too heavy. There are just enough cuts in the crystal to really show off the amber colors of his favorite Irish whiskeys, yet not so much that it looks too delicate. These are manly glasses! I haven't given them to him yet, but I love them, so if things go well and they eventually wind up back in my household, then I'll be getting another set to make an even dozen. The glasses' design is really unique; the deep cut sides make their look rather more unique than many I've seen. Someone commented that they're somewhat heavy, but I don't think it's much of an issue. They are thick-bottomed, though, so I suppose that with liquid it might be a little hefty.
